Service Description

Yin is a gentle yoga practice for reducing mental and physical stress through deep breathing techniques and longer hold times in poses. It is a concentration of restorative poses held for 3 to 5 minutes to promote increased flexibility and joint health by targeting the deeper fascia and connective tissues. Yin is an excellent practice for those who lead a busy lifestyle, work at a mentally or physically demanding job, need to stretch and are unable to fit it in at home, or prefer a slower class with more time spent in the poses. Props are often used to deepen and support the practice. An extra blanket or pillow will work wonders, however, anything on hand can be turned into a prop with a little creativity! If you would like suggestions or help in finding or creating props for your practice, please feel free to reach out. Some prior yoga experience is recommended but not necessary.

Cancellation Policy

Your well-being is important, sometimes, unexpected delays can occur, resulting in schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel, it is respectfully requested that you do so with at least 4 hours notice for group classes and 24 hours for private sessions/appointments. Any cancellation made less than 4 hours before the start of class or 24 hours before a scheduled private session/appointment will result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the paid-for-price of the class or $25 for missed private sessions/appointments. In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, all or part of your cancellation fee may be applied to future classes or services at Four Acres Yoga or a refund may be provided less a $5 transaction fee.
